Hi, come back to me, this time I will explain about recount text.

Recount text is a type of text in learning English that has the function of retelling events or experiences that occurred in the past. This text aims to provide information and / or entertain readers who read this blog.

Feature recount text :

1.Using past tense (past) sentences, such as went, departed, would, woke up, etc.

2.Use adverb and adverbial phrase to express time, place and way, such as last September, Pari Island, on the second day, etc.

3.Use conjunctions and time connectives to sequence events or events, such as and, before, then, after that, etc.

Recount text structure :

Orientation

In this first stage, the author is asked to provide an introduction in the form of information about who, where, when the event or incidents occurred in the past. In this section, the author is expected to provide the reader with the information necessary to understand the entirety of the text.

Events

In this second stage, the writer can convey or tell the events or events that occurred. Authors are asked to write stories in chronological order. Like 'In the first day .... In the next day .... In the last day ... '

Reorientation

This last stage is the stage of repeating the introduction in the first stage. The existing loop summarizes all the events or incidents that were told.

In the last stage, the writer can write a summary of all the events or incidents that are told. Authors can also write comments or personal impressions of events or incidents that have occurred.

Types of recount text:

Personal recount

Personal recount is a recount text that functions to tell the author's personal experience.

Factual recount

Factual recount is a recount text that serves to present reports of events that actually occurred, such as reports on scientific experiments or police reports.

Imaginative

Imaginative is a type of recount text that serves to present an imaginative story. Then write down the events or incidents that have occurred

Orientation

On Saturday morning at 9:30, I was walking down Sunda Street, looking for a record store. A man stopped me and asked me the way to the Hyatt Hotel. I wasn’t sure exactly where it was, but I walked with him to the end of Sunda Street. He was very friendly, and his face looked so familiar.

Event

Then I remembered where the Hyatt was and told him how to get there. He thanked me and tried to give me something. I thought it was money. I said ‘no’ at first, but he really wanted me to have it, so I took it.

Reorientation

I found the record store and listened to a few records. D’ Masive had a new record that was number two in the top twenty. I decided to buy it. I looked in my bag for my wallet and found a piece of paper the man gave me. It was a photo. I was so surprised! He was a singer in D’ Masive!
