How To Make 2 (Chap 3 Part 4)

 Assalamu'alaikum , welcome back with me today I will give an understanding of "How To make"



DEFINITION

Text procedure is text that gives us orders or instructions to do something. Usually this type of text begins with the sentence “How to…”, for example “How to make a cup of tea” or “How to operate the machine”. Procedure Text is found in many cookbooks and manuals.

The purpose of a procedure text is to explain how something is made, done or used through successive steps (to show how something is made/used/done through a sequence of steps).

STRUCTURE

Structure of the procedure text is : 

1. Goal/Aim: contains the purpose and objectives of the relevant procedure text.

2. Materials: contains the materials needed to perform the stages of a text procedure.

3. Steps: a list of sequential steps to complete the text procedure steps.

4. Result: the result of the steps that have been taken.\

TYPE

1. Procedure text that displays how to operate/use something.  For example how to use camera, how to use rice cooker.

2. Procedure text that provides instructions in performing certain activities.  For example how to play guitar, how to make a brownies.

3. Procedure text related to tips on living life.  For example how to be successful in life, how to make yourself happy.

EXAMPLE : 



1. Fold the paper in half to get a nice crease in it. Unfold the paper.
2. Fold 2 triangles in it from the middle of the paper.
3. From the bottom fold smaller triangles on both sides of the paper.
4. Fold up from the bottom the extra paper.
5. Fold upwards to make a diamond.
6. Flip the paper around and fold 2 of the points inwards.
7. Fold in half.
8. Fold the wings of the paper airplane from the folded half pieces.
9. Partly unfold the middle of the plane and fold the tail up. (I would add just a little bit of tape or glue in the middle to make it stick together.)
10. You have successfully made a Cool Paper Jet Plane!
